Upgrade / Change License

Existing customers can upgrade or change the license to another type of AADS Terminal Server, using this procedure . Upgrading / Changing your license implies that you want a different type of AADS Terminal Server, like

• upgrading from 5 user to 10 user, or
• upgrading from Small Unlimited to Enterprise Unlimited, or
• changing from AADS for Windows 7 to AADS for Windows 10.

You will keep your license number. After the upgrade / change, your license number will be associated with the new type of AADS Terminal Server.

The upgrade / change procedure sends an email to the customer with the details for the procedure and the migration costs. The email contains also a Pro Forma Invoice which is valid for 30 days.

An upgrade or change of an AADS Terminal Server license can be done at maximum 2 times in 1 year. There must be at least 6 months between 2 license migrations. In case you want to change/ upgrade your AADS license more often, send us an email .

The migration costs are calculated as follows:

Scenario 1

The AADS Terminal Server license is not used yet. For example: the customer has bought a license for Windows 10x32 but intended to buy a license for Windows 10x64.

Scenario 2

The Windows OS does not change. For example: upgrading AADS Terminal Server for Windows 10/11 - 5 user == > AADS Terminal Server for Windows 10/11 - 10 user.

• When the AADS Terminal Server license is not used: Scenario 1,

• when the Windows OS does not change: Scenario 2,

the costs for a migration are:

• Price difference + Administration and handling 20,00 EURo with a minimum of 35,00 EURo.

Scenario 3

The Windows OS does change and the AADS Terminal Server license has already been used.
For example: upgrading AADS Terminal Server for Windows 7 - 5 user == > AADS Terminal Server for Windows 10/11 - 10 user.
Definition of "already used": the License Servers do have a record of the license being installed.

The costs of this migration will be:

• In case of migrating to AADS Terminal Server Small: Price difference + 20%, + Administration and handling 20.00 EURo, with the minimum of 70 EURo.
• In case of migrating to AADS Terminal Server Enterprise: Price difference + 20%, + Administration and handling 20.00 EURo, with the minimum of 120 EURo.

Now: AADS Terminal Server Small License v7.1 for Windows 7 - 5 users: 220,00 EURo
Upgrade to: AADS Terminal Server Small License v10.1 for Windows 10/11 - 5 users: 220,00 EURo

(220,00 - 220,00) = 0,00 EURo + 20% = 0,00 EURo + 20,00 = 20,00 EURo, minimum Small 70,00 EURo = 70,00 EURo

Now: AADS Terminal Server Small License v7.1 for Windows 7 - 10 users: 270,00 EURo
Upgrade to: AADS Terminal Server Small License v7.1 for Windows 7 - unl users: 320,00 EURo

(320,00 - 270,00) = 50,00 EURo + 20% = 60,00 EURo + 20,00 = 80,00 EURo, minimum Small 70,00 EURo = 80,00 EURo

Now: AADS Terminal Server Small License v4.0 for Vista - 5 users: 220,00 EURo
Upgrade to: AADS Terminal Server Small License v10.1 for Windows 10/11 - unl users: 320,00 EURo

(320,00 - 220,00) = 100,00 EURo + 20% = 120,00 EURo + 20,00 = 140,00 EURo, minimum Small 70,00 EURo = 140,00 EURo

Now: AADS Terminal Server Small License v7.1 for Windows 7 - unl users: 320,00 EURo
Upgrade: AADS Terminal Server Enterprise License v7.3 for Windows 7 - unl users: 650,00 EURo

(650,00 - 320,00) = 330,00 EURo + 20% = 396,00 EURo + 20,00 = 416,00 EURo, minimum Enterprise 120,00 EURo = 416,00 EURo

Now: AADS Terminal Server Enterprise License v6.1 for Server 2008 - unl users: 650,00 EURo
Upgrade to: AADS Terminal Server Enterprise License v16.0 for Server 2016/2019/2022 - unl users: 650,00 EURo

(650,00 - 650,00) = 0,00 EURo + 20% = 0,00 EURo + 20,00 = 20,00 EURo, minimum Enterprise 120,00 EURo = 120,00 EURo
