Problem: There seems to be another software installation that is waiting for a reboot

The installation of the AADS Terminal Server software requires 1 reboot of the Server in order to complete the installation. A reboot of a Windows system in order to complete the installation of software is quite normal. Therefore, other software companies might also require a reboot to complete their installation of the software.
To prevent problems and conflicts, the AADS Terminal Server Setup program will not install when another piece of software requires a reboot to complete its installation.

Sometimes, the AADS Terminal Server Setup program keeps on saying "There seems to be another software installation that is waiting for a reboot" because every time the system is running, for some reason a piece of software put itself in the Registry of the PC, specific the location where setup-programs can finalize their installation. Some viruses and trojan horses abuse the Registry, specific this setup-location, in order to install itself again every time the PC is restarted.
In case the AADS Terminal Server Setup program keeps on telling you the message "There seems to be another software installation that is waiting for a reboot", you are advised to check your PC for viruses, spyware or trojan horses.

If you are sure that no viruses are running on your PC, you can execute the following Registry File. It will clear the settings in the Registry that are blocking the installation of the AADS Terminal Server Software. The procedure is as follows:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\]
"PendingFileRenameOperations"=-
