Login is slow. What can I do about it?

An important hint for using AADS Terminal Server, is the following:

Server / batch oriented means that the system software should not interact with the user, but should do its job silently. Without popups. Without questions asked to the user.
Those popups are quite often the reason why things go wrong with a Terminal Server. Examples:

Take a second look at the product description: Personal Firewalls or Single User Personal Anti virus software. The product description does make it clear that it is not suitable anymore to run on a AADS Terminal Server, because of the multiple users, multiple Remote Desktops and multiple logins as opposed to the single user, single desktop and single login.

There are many pieces of software available for Windows that are poorly written. Windows enables in itself multiple users. It is called Fast User Switching. Because of this, Microsoft has clear guidelines for software developers how to write software, how to deal with multiple Remote Desktops, how to deal with disconnected users, etc. However, lots of vendors write poor software that can not deal with multiple desktops and / or multiple users.
