Deny List

Note:

• The countries mentioned in this example of the GeoIP Allow List, are only mentioned here as an illustrative example.
  The mentioning of these countries should not interpreted as some kind of recommendation or statement about these countries.
• The FireWall Events with IP Addresses as mentioned in this Manual, are Events which were "caused" because of this Manual.
  The mentioning of these IP Addresses should not interpreted as some kind of recommendation or statement about these IP Addresses.

Automatic Deny List

If you select Block access from Localhost to Localhost, which is recommended,

the Automatic Deny List contains all local IP Addresses of this AADS Terminal Server:

The Automatic Deny List will only contain the local IP Addresses of this AADS Terminal Server.
The Automatic Deny List will never contain any other IP Addresses.

If you want to place some IP Addresses on the Deny List, use the Manual Deny List.  

If you do de-select Block access from Localhost to Localhost

then the Automatic Deny List will be empty; the Automatic Deny List will not contain any IP Address.

If you  de-select, access from Localhost to Localhost is allowed, because the local IP Addresses of this AADS Terminal Server are on the Automatic  Allow List .

Manual Deny List

The Administrator can enter IP Addresses or ranges of IP Addresses:

Delete

• By clicking on the "Date/Time" column, 1 or more Client IP Addresses can be selected.
• Using the "Delete" in the Popup Menu, those Client IP Addresses can be deleted and do loose their privilege of always to be allowed to connect to the AADS Terminal Server.
• Do not forget to click on the "Save"-button.

Copy

• By clicking on the "Date/Time" column, 1 or more Client IP Addresses can be selected.
• Using the "Copy" in the Popup Menu, those Client IP Addresses will be copied to the clipboard.
  From there they can be pasted into some other application:

Paste

When pasting IP Addresses into AADS Maintenance and Control, the relevant parts of the line of text that is pasted are:

• IP Address
• SubNet  Mask
• Description

The following paste-examples show the format of the lines with text that can be pasted into the Firewall Allow List:

Sort by IPv4/6

Either all IPv4 or IPv6 will be shown first.

Toggle IPv6 view

Toggles between various ways IPv6 addresses can be shown.

Export

It is possible to export the following Firewall Lists to CSV (comma separated values) files. The exported CSV files can be found in:

Subnet mask / Range

It is possible to enter 1 IP Address, by leaving the Subnet Mask / Range empty.

IPv4

A SubNetMask / Range can be entered as follows:

• "begin" IP Address and "end" IP Address. See the Thin Clients Sales Department as an example.
• /1 to /31. See Range Example 1.
• /n1.n2.n3.n4. See Range Example 2.

IPv6

A SubNetMask / Range can be entered as follows:

• "begin" IP Address and "end" IP Address.
• /4 to /128

/all IPv4 IPv6
